Gilgit (PR): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan has appreciated the vital role of Ismaili community for peace, development, and prosperity of Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan in particular.
He was talking to a delegation of Ismaili community at his Camp office in Gilgit on Wednesday. The delegation included Shia Imami Ismaili Regional Council Gilgit President Engineer Iqbal Rasool, Religious Scholar Minister Fida Ali Aissar, Alwaiz Dr. Aziz Dinar, PRC Chairman AIG (Rtd) Sultan Azam and others.
He said peace is a necessity for all in the region, and without it, development remains a just a dream. Hence, it is essential for proponents of peace to come forward. The Ismaili community has been playing a positive role for the last four decades during challenging times.
He further, G-B government values proactive role played by the Ismaili community in establishing peace in the region. Its role in the development and welfare works of the area is not hidden from anyone.
The Chief Minister expressed his admiration for the Ismaili community’s constructive involvement, in the current challenging circumstances in G-B. He affirmed his confidence in their continued commitment to the future and assured full support from the G-B government in its endeavors.
