Gilgit (Chief Reporter): While addressing a press conference at the central secretariate PML-N in Gilgit city, the former chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafizur Rahman said G-B is on the version of destruction because of the current CM and company.
All parties would be consulted to oust the current G-B government. The federal government would be approached to demand GB Assembly elections simultaneously with the elections at the center.
He asked, if Imran Niazi can dissolve the assemblies with his two chief ministers, why can’t the GB assembly be dissolved? The GB Assembly is in danger of being misused against Pakistan. International lobbies have given the responsibility to Imran Niazi for destabilizing Pakistan. Similarly, the failure to call G-B assembly sessions is a result of fight among assembly members of the current ruling party.
He said Imran Khan should reflect on his own actions before pointing fingers at others. He is acting as a tool for foreign forces to destabilize Pakistan. Similarly, some particular judges of the Supreme Court have become Imran Niazi’s supporters, who have given judgment in favor of Imran in eighty-three out of eighty-four cases. Imran is a coward who has shielded women and children, he further added.
The former CM G-B said the Buzdar of Gilgit-Baltistan has plagued havoc with G-B. He has been misusing the police of Gilgit-Baltistan. GB police is still in Zaman Park and Bani Gala which cost crore of rupeess. Similarly, GB police’s Jammer vehicle has been used for Niazi in Zaman Harak and Bani Gala of which IGP GB police should take notice. In the last four months, three and a half crores worth of diesel has been used, further added the former CM.
In response to a question, he said the wheat issue would never have been resolved if opposition parties did not act. The current government has caused a deadlock in electricity projects. Similarly, for six months, he Assembly has been not called.
In response to another question, he said in a vote of no confidence, the members of the assembly have to abide by the party policy. Those who accept the party’s decisions will go with the party. The paths will be different for those who will not accept the responsibility. Decisions are made by the party, not the members.
He said that there is a danger of GB assembly to be used against federation of Pakistan. Niazi wants that . If the GB Assembly is used even on paper to save him, PML-N will condemn such act. He warned the CM to stop using the resources of GB for his political interests.
