Establishment of 130 smart classrooms across Gilgit-Baltistan in final stage, says chief secretary G-B

Gilgit (PR): In statement issued to media on Thursday, the chief secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Muhyuddin Wani has said the establishment of 130 smart classrooms across G-B are in final stage.

He said the federal ministry of education greatly supported G-B government in establishment of smart classrooms as part of it’s endeavors to introduce innovation in education.

Chief secretary G-B, the government is equipping public sector schools across G-B with modern educational technology which reflects the education-friendly policy of the government.

The facilities provided as part of smart classrooms include 65 inch LED, 50 clickers, high speed Wi-Fi internet facility, UPS system for uninterrupted power supply, audio system, 2 terabytes for offline storage of video-audio content, flash drives and charging devices, said the statement.

According to the statement, the installation process will start immediately after Eid and regular smart classes start in the next two months.

These initiatives will increase the level of motivation and interest in students towards studies which will further improve the quality of education, further added the statement.

Chief secretary Muhyuddin Wanni has said G-B government is making all efforts to provide an enabling environment for students at public sector schools to academically better perform vis a vis other regions.

The Chief Secretary also thanked federal ministry of education for it’s support on taking innovative initiatives to transform education system in Gilgit-Baltistan.
