London (PR): On his current visit of UK, the chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani met Pakistani students at Cambridge University in London.
While talking to the students, he informed them about the reforms that G-B government has initiated to align the education sector with the modern day needs.
He informed the students about the steps that the G-B government has taken to promote technology in the education system.
The Chief Secretary also talked about the establishment of new schools in remote areas of the region including smart schools. Government is also providing digital items including quality books and training opportunities for teachers, mentioned the chief secretary G-B.
He also informed about the steps the G-B government has taken such as establishment of new IT parks, provision of high-speed internet and promotion of digital entrepreneurship.
Pakistani students studying at Cambridge University expressed their happiness over the steps being taken to modernize education in a remote area like Gilgit-Baltistan. They expressed their interest in contributing to these efforts in the future.
They lauded the efforts of Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan and described such efforts as a bright example for other high government officials for the bright future of the country.
