Gilgit (PR): Gilgit-Baltistan Contracttors Association staged protest sit-in in front of the office of ‘chief engineer water and power’ in favour of their demands on Tuesday.
The officials of the Awami Action Committee Gilgit-Baltistan participated in the sit-in under the leadership of their chairman Fida Hussain to express their solidarity with the contractors.
The leaders of the action committee warned the government to immediately accept the demands of the contractors, else it will protest along with contractors.
On request of chairman action committee Fida Hussain, the president of Contractors Association Rehmatullah postponed the sit-in for few days because of holy month of Ramadan and the days of martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS).
The president of the Contractors Association G-B Rahmatullah and other leaders thanked the National Action Committee for showing solidarity with the contractors.
