In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid said that the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir rejected the G-20 Summit in Srinagar. This is a message to the world that the occupation of Kashmir is unacceptable to Kashmiris.
The Chief Minister has said in the statement that India cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiris by holding such a conference in the occupied valley. People of Occupied Kashmir are protesting Indian actions. However, India wants to make a fool of the world by projecting a false image of a normal situation.
According to the CM G-B, the brave Kashmiris have thwarted all vicious and brutal attempts of the Indian state to keep them silent. Jammu Kashmir is a disputed territory and by holding the summit here India has proved it to the world that it does not care for international laws. Holding the summit in the disputed region by India is also a gross violation of security council resolutions.
Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said the international community has a heavy responsibility to play its role in providing the basic rights to the oppressed and unprivileged people of occupied Kashmir in the light of the United Nations resolutions.
By not participating in the G-20 conference, China and Saudi Arabia highlighted the disputed status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They sent a clear message to the world that Indian atrocities and domination over the oppressed Kashmiri people cannot be supported. India’s hideous face and conspiracy have been revealed to the world, further added the statement.
