Gilgit (Correspondent): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid laid the foundation stone of Doctors Hostel in Eidgah Astore.
While addressing the occasion, chief minister Khalid Khurshid said his government is constructing a doctors’ hostel for Rs. 6 crores. Construction of this hostel and inauguration of the regional center of the CPSP in Gilgit point towards the government’s efforts to provide better health facilities to the people added the chief minister.
He said the performance of his government is better than last the performance shown by previous governments. With the end of the rule of robbers at the center, the country will again move forward, added the chief minister.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid said that the work of the opponents is only to criticize. Our opponents did not solve any problem during their time and are criticizing us today. We have hired doctors from Shifa International Hospital to provide better health facilities to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Chief Minister also said that there has been no recruitment in the police department since 2005. It is the current PTI government that has made recruitment in the police department in a transparent manner for the first time in Gilgit-Baltsitan.
Doctors and teachers were not recruited in the past, only doing class IV politics. People got elected from Astore, but they did not look back to serve it which is by any means cruelty. However, people will not allow the politics of fraud to happen to them again.
The Chief Minister said that his government is also soon going to build a public school in Astore as part of its efforts to promote education in the area.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid also inaugurated Duyan Road Metalling Project and the new Operation Theater at District Headquarters Hospital Astor. He also addressed a public gathering at Dashkan Astore.
