Gilgit (PR): In a statement issued to media, Sher Nadir Shah has said the registration of FIR on the behest of FWO against leader of Awami Workers Party GB and former candidate for GBLA-6 Asif Sakhi is condemnable.
He has expressed concerns over installation of signboards on public and private lands in Gojal Hunza and termed it an act to spoil the natural beauty. Installation of sign boards is also an act of depriving the local people of their ownership on the land, said the press release.
Sher Nadir has said AWP G-B believes public sector business companies are behind the proposed Gilgit-Baltsitan land reforms bill. They have their eyes on the abundant natural resources of Gilgit-Baltistan. By getting the bill passed with help of local facilitators, they want to exploit the local resources by depriving local people of their historical rights.
Nadir appealed to the youth to unite and resist the exploitative measures. He has demanded the government to take the FIR back, otherwise protest will be staged against this reprehensible act against his leader.
