Gilgit (PR): In a statement issued to media, the chief minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid has said April 9 is the darkest day in the country’s history as one year ago on this day Imran Khan’s government was ousted through a regime change foreign conspiracy.
Imran Khan, the elected prime minister of the largest party of the country, was unconstitutionally and undemocratically removed from power by foreign powers with the facilitation of their local cronies, says the statement.
The Chief Minister has said that the country’s economy has destroyed in a year due to the imposition of the current imported government. People are facing the highest inflation and unemployment in history. Politics of revenge and oppression have become the characteristic features of the PDM government for last one year. The PDM government at the center has subjected chairman Imran Khan, party leaders and workers to the politics revenge.
He has stated that in the last one year, human rights have seen gross violations in the country. Political activists were arrested overnight by registering similar FIRs across the country, while the detained workers were subjected to the worst sort of torture. Likewise, the party workers were moved from city to city in fabricated cases. In many cases the party workers have been even tortured to death.
Khalid Khurshid has further said, despite worst kinds of torture in place, the nation has not lost the hope. Chairman Imran Khan has united the nation on the narrative of true freedom. The past one year has seen unprecedented resistance by the people in the history of Pakistan.
He has further said that the fascism of the PDM continues in the country even today. But the more the cruelty increases, the more this movement will advance. Imran Khan will again come to power with the support of the people and the dream of real freedom will be materialized.
