Islamabad (C.R Akbar Shah): The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) in its meeting held on Tuesday approved 10 billion rupees project for the establishment of regional grid (Phase-I) in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B).
The project is expected to enable equitable distribution of power in the region besides reducing line losses.
Furthermore, with the expansion of power policy and PPIB Act in G-B, private investors will be attracted to Gilgit-Baltistan to tap the huge clean energy potential of over 40000 MW.
