Gilgit (C.R. Akbar Shah): Home Secretary, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Iqbal Hussain met members of Masajjid boards of both major sects in Gilgit on Thursday. The Measures taken in connection with the sectarian harmony and maintenance of peace in GB came under discussion in the meeting.
During the meeting, members of the masajid board pledged their support for the maintenance of peace on a sustainable basis. They reaffirmed their will to play their pivotal role in creating an atmosphere of brotherhood and tranquility in the region.
Secretary Interior lauded the role of Masajid boards in the maintenance of peace in the region. He also assured the board members of all sorts of administrative cooperation and support in the promotion of sectarian harmony in GB.
