Gilgit: Addressing a gathering of people after Friday prayers in Jutial, the Ameer Jamat Islami G-B Moulana Abdul Sami said the increase in suicide cases among educated youth is a result of a lack of practice of Islamic teachings.
He said until a person lives a life according to the teachings of Islam, he/she cannot live a happy and successful life.
He urged everyone in society to play their role to control the problem of increasing suicide cases in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said lectures should be arranged at universities, colleges, and schools to make students understand that suicide is a sin in Islam.
Moulana Abdul Sami also said a person can live a successful and happy life only if he acts according to the teachings of Islam.
He further said all systems have failed in the world except the Islamic system. Hence it’s important to implement Islamic teachings in our daily lives to cope with all types of challenges.
