Gilgit (correspondent): Aslam Inqilabi, a prominent and well-known political activist from sub-division Yasin makes his way up to the position of chairmanship of Awami Action Committee Ghizer District of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Aslam Inqilabi is considered to be among the progressive and nationalist leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan. He has made himself known for political and social services. He has been fighting for the rights denied to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for years. He has a prominent role in the struggle for fundamental democratic human rights in Yasin, Ghizer, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Aslam Inqiabi is a highly educated ideological cadre. He has made political and social activism his slogan instead of opting for any government job. Keeping his struggle as a full-time political and social worker, the Awami Action Committee has appointed him as the Chairman of Action Committee District Ghizer.
On his appointment as chairman, Aslam Inqilabi said the Awami Action Committee has become an organized movement that is struggling to achieve the usurped rights of Gilgit-Baltistan. Traditional political, religious, and nationalist parties have disappointed the people as they serve the interests of their mother parties at the cost of the people of G-B.
Due to the politics of vested interests of these parties, a volcano of problems has erupted all over Gilgit-Baltistan and people are looking at Awami Action Committee as a savior and messiah, said Aslam Inqilabi.
He further said we have undertaken to fight the battle for the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. We will fight the battle for rights with full integrity and honesty, he further added.
