KARACHI (PR): National Workers Front Gilgit-Baltistan, National Students Federation Gilgit-Baltistan and National Women’s Front Gilgit-Baltistan (Sindh Zone) organized an Iftar party and an awareness seminar regarding the proposed G-B Land Reforms Bill.
Representatives of political movements of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan fighting for the rights of their people including Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Balawaristan National Front, Baltistan Students Federation, Karakoram National Movement, Al-Baltistan Movement, Nagar Students Federation participated in the seminar.
A panel discussion was held as part of the awareness seminar. Professor Dr. Asghar Dashti, Social Activist Yawar Abbas, Qamar Kazmi, Sarfaraz Nagri and Didar Ali expressed their views and addressed queries of the participants.
While addressing the seminar the speakers said the controversial G-B land reforms bill is not a demand of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, its rather an attempt to provide legal cover for the exploitation of resource rich region.
