May 25 observed as Martyrs Day across Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit (Staff reporter): Like all parts of Pakistan, Martyrs Day was observed across Gilgit-Baltistan to pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the security forces.

In this regard, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of FCNA. Force Commander FCNA Major General Kashif Khalil and senior veteran Brigadier Salim laid flowers on the martyrs’ memorial.

On this occasion, army troops, police, and rangers presented a salute.

The ceremony was attended by officers of the Pakistan Army, Police, Rangers, GB Scouts, senior civil officers, relatives of martyrs, veterans, and school children.

Commander NLI Centre Brigadier Khurram and other law enforcement agencies laid flowers and recited Fatiha on the grave of Nishan e Haider Lalik Jan Shaheed AND met with his family.

All over Gilgit-Baltistan, recitation of the Quran and prayers were done for the reward of the martyrs. Fatiha was also recited on the graves of martyrs across Gilgit-Baltistan.

Later, children from different schools took out rallies in favor of Pakistan Martyrs’ Day and raised slogans in favor of the Pakistan Army.

Pakistan Martyrs’ Day is a day of pledge renewal, which forgets hatred and bitterness and conveys a message of love, peace, hope, tolerance, and deep love for its martyrs.
