Gilgit (C.R Akbar Shah): Directorate of Livestock, Dairy Development and Poultry Production, Gilgit-Baltistan has suspended a lab assistant who was allegedly found involved in sharing objectionable content and creating communal incitement on social media.
Departmental action has been initiated against the accused under Rule 4(a) and (b) of Gilgit-Baltistan Civil Servants (E&D) Rules 2011.
It is pertinent to note the Gilgit-Baltistan government has adopted a more aggressive stance in curbing the spread of hateful content and controversial posts on social media in the face of current tense situation.
It is also to be noted that G-B government is actively engaged in identifying and tracking individuals who are promoting hateful content. This is being accomplished through a vigilant monitoring of various social media platforms.
