Imported government at the center is lavishing billions on its MNAs but not ready to give a few billions to G-B, says CM G-B Khalid Khursheed

Gilgit (correspondent): Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid has said that the imported government at center has made a cut in the development budget of Gilgit-Baltistan. Now it is delaying the releases in the name of the difficult economic conditions of the country. Meanwhile, it is distributing billions of rupees as political bribe to its MNAs.

Chief Minister G-B said The federal imported government is lavishing billions on its MNAs but is not ready to give a few billions to Gilgit-Baltistan. There is no example in the history of the stepfather attitude adopted by the federal government towards Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Chief Minister G-B said the Federal Imported Government first reserved 70 billion for its members, then last month it increased by another Rs. 17 billion to reach Rs. 87 billion. Now, the amount has been increased to Rs. 90 billion with an increase of Rs. 30 million.

He further said that by providing Rs. 4-5 billion to Gilgit-Baltistan, the provincial government can easily solve the current electricity and wheat problems faced by the province.

The Chief Minister said that due to the incompetence and poor economic performance of the federal government, the country is standing on the verge of destruction, which is also affecting Gilgit-Baltistan.
