Dr. Zahirah Ali daughter of Mubarak Jan is an MBBS graduate from the Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, Badge 2022 with distinction in her 3rd and 4th year.
Ibex Times reached out to Dr. Zahirah Ali to explore her academic and personal journey that can
shed light on the different aspects of her life.
According to Dr. Zahirah Ali, becoming an MBBS doctor is a dream come true for which she has
been working tirelessly.
She received her basic education from Diamond Jubilee High School, Ayashi, matriculation
from the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Sherqilla; and intermediate from the Aga Khan
Higher Secondary School, Ghakuch. The schools are affiliated with the Aga Khan University
Examination Board (AKU-EB) and are recognized as premier schools of Gilgit Baltistan.

Sharing her experience with Ibex Times, Zahira says she developed an interest in medical
education. She was a high achiever in all science subjects in the AKU-EB Annual
Examinations 2017.
Dr. Zahirah Ali owes her academic success and achievement to her parents who have sacrificed
so much to get her where she is now.
Talking to Ibex Times, she said, “I am grateful to my teachers who always supported in my
studies.”
In a message to students aiming to enter the medical profession, Dr. Zahira said, “Keep
working hard, believe in yourself. Never compare yourself with others, success will come
your way.”
Dr Zahirah Ali is currently doing her house job at Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur which will be completed in June next year.
