Deputy Commissioner Gilgit holds meetings concerning land ownership and Juglot-Skardu road compensation

Gilgit (PR): Deputy Commissioner Gilgit Captain Retired Usama Majeed Cheema held separate meetings concerning landholding issues and Jaglot-Skardu road.

DC Gilgit held collector court concerning landholding controversies in the Danyur Tehsil of Gilgit district. He heard 13 cases related to land ownership in subdivisions of Gilgit and Danyur. He announced his decision on 7 cases in light of the land record and directed the district legal officer to implement the decisions.

He also directed Assistant Commissioner Gilgit and Danyur to submit a comprehensive report about the remaining cases after a detailed inspection of the land record.

Presiding another meeting with Assistant Commissioner Danyur, Assistant Commissioner Juglot, DD NHA, notables of Haramosh valley in connection with compensation issue of Juglot-Skardu road.

Addressing the meeting, he said compensation for lands used on the road will be given to people at all costs.

While giving a briefing, DD NHA said a comprehensive report will be prepared and submitted to the office of the collector Gilgit district. DC advised the DD NHA to ensure submission of the report on coming Saturday.

The notables of Haramosh valley informed DC Gilgit about their losses as a result of road construction.

DC also directed assistant commissioner Danyor to submit a detailed report of assessment of the losses of people at the earliest.
