Islamabad (Monitoring Desk): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan meets Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira on Wednesday in Islamabad.
Security, development projects, budget, wheat supply, and salaries of employees came under discussion in the meeting. During the meeting, Kaira said the prime minister had asked to address the problems of G-B on a priority basis.
We are making all our efforts to solve the problems of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan irrespective of party affiliations. The whole nation is faced with economic difficulties. He would take the economic issues to the concerned forum for immediate solutions to problems.
The federal government cut the annual budget of all provinces except Gilgit-Baltistan. The budget of G-B has been provided as before.
prices and supply of wheat also came under discussion in the meeting.
Both agreed to design a strategy to determine the price and supply of wheat to G-B through a consensus developed among all political parties.
on the occasion, CM G-B said G-B is facing problems regarding PSDP projects, ADP projects, and salaries of employees. We are introducing reforms in health and agricultural sectors, said Khalid Khursheed.
GB orders 2018, and 2019, constitution issues, and supreme court decisions regarding GB also came under discussion.
Kaira assumed CM GB to provide all possible cooperation in addressing issues faced by GB. He emphasized improving communication between the central government and the provincial government.
