Gilgit (Ibex report): Parliamentary Secretary for Forests G-B Dilshad Banu attended a ceremony in connection with distribution of relief goods among the women in Noorabad colony of Jutial area in Gilgit city. The relief goods were received from the neighboring country of China.
While addressing on the occasion, Dilshad Bano urged women to learn new skills themselves and teach others if they want to stand on their own feet.
She said the women of Gilgit-Baltistan are industrious. Government is creating better employment opportunities for them. Establishment of a sewing center in Noorabad colony is one example in this regard where all facilities will be provided.
The aim of the government is to make women more skilled so that they can increase their income, said Dilshad Bano.
She urged the women not to keep their embroidery items in boxes. They should be presented for exhibition at different places to market them.
